Delivery Information

How we despatch

Orders are picked and despatched from our warehouse once payment has cleared. Orders placed at weekends and on bank holidays are picked on the next working day.

We are not tied to a single carrier. We choose the service that suits the order: a parcel courier for most trade orders, and a pallet delivery for larger ones. That keeps the cost sensible on a small order and the handling safe on a big one.

We will tell you which service your order has gone out on in the despatch notification. If you need a firm despatch date or a particular delivery service, tell us before you place the order and we will confirm in writing what we can do.

Delivery charges

Standard UK delivery is a flat £19.99 per order, whatever the size of the consignment and whichever service we use to send it.

Delivery is free on orders of £250 or more, excluding VAT. The threshold is measured on the goods value before VAT and before delivery, so it is the figure you see in your basket while prices are shown excluding VAT.

The charge is calculated and shown in full at checkout before you pay.

Trade prices are shown excluding VAT by default. You can switch the whole site to show prices including VAT using the toggle in the header. VAT and delivery are both itemised at checkout.

Transit times

Standard UK delivery is 2 to 4 business days from despatch. Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.

Transit time is additional to despatch time. Transit times quoted by any carrier are an estimate, not a guarantee. If your order is time-critical, tell us before you place it and we will say plainly whether it can be met rather than let you find out late.

Tracking your order

You will receive an order confirmation by email as soon as the order is placed. When the order is despatched, Shopify sends a despatch notification to the same address, with carrier tracking where the service used provides it.

Your full order history is available in your account whenever you are signed in.

Receiving a delivery

A few practical points that save time for both of us:

  • Make sure someone can take the delivery at the address you give us. A failed delivery means a re-attempt or a return to the depot, and any additional carrier charge is passed on.
  • Check the number of parcels against the carrier's paperwork before you sign.
  • If the outer packaging is visibly damaged, sign for it as damaged. This matters a great deal if a claim follows.
  • Check the contents against your despatch note as soon as you reasonably can, rather than leaving sealed cartons until the goods are needed.

Shortages, damage and missing parcels

Report any shortage, picking error or damage in transit within 48 hours of delivery, and any fault within 30 days. Carrier claims are time-limited, and we cannot pursue one that is reported late. The process, including what to send us, is set out on the returns and claims page.

Delivery addresses

We deliver to mainland United Kingdom addresses, including shop and market addresses. We do not currently ship outside the United Kingdom.

For Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands and Islands, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands, contact us before ordering so we can confirm whether we can supply and at what cost.

Please give a full address with a postcode and a contact number for the carrier, and tell us about any access restriction such as a pedestrianised street or a limited unloading window. A pallet delivery in particular needs somewhere it can actually be unloaded.
